Nick Dempsey, Bryony Shaw and Helena Lucas are to attend the Royal Southampton's Commodore's Dinner on Saturday 20th October together with Alastair Fox who was the ISAF Technical Delegate at the sailing regatta at the 2012 Olympics. SolentXtra managed the RS:X course.
Nick earned a bronze in Athens, was 4th in China and got the silver medal at Weymouth last month. Bryony was the first female windsurfer to medal at the Olympics with a bronze in Chingdao. She finished 7th at Weymouth after a year palgued with illness. Helena has just won the gold medal in the 2.4m Class at the 2012 Paralympics.
The Commodore's Dinner, which is a black tie affair, is to be a four course dinner with wine. Following the loyal toast Alastair Fox is to make a speach and this will be followed by a question and answer session to involve Nick, Bryony and Helena.
A good number of the SolentXtra team will be there.
