Real Life: 30+ years experience in research into communications and informations systems covering both project management and technical lead. Currently focusing on the security aspects of satellite communication systems for Astrium. Long involvement with Warsash SC where previously held various roles including Dinghy Chair, Executive Member and and all flag roles including Commodore.

ISAF/RYA Qualifications: National Race Officer; Regional Judge; Powerboat Level 2; Safety Boat; VHF/DSC; International Certificate of Competence.
Race Management Experience: 10+ years of dinghy and sportboat race management. Member of Warasah Spring Series Organising Committee and organised many Open Meetings and National Championships. Disciplines include dinghies, boards, keelboats and cruisers.
Major Events: World Championships x 3 (OK 2009, Dart 18 2010, Laser Masters 2010); Olympic Test Event 2011; ISAF Sailing World Cup Events x 3 (Sail for Gold, 2009-2011); National Championships x 5 (dates?); Cork Week 2010; Commodores Cup 2008, Warsash Spring Series x 11 (2001-2011); Hamble Winter Series 2011.
Sailing and Racing Experience: Over 40 years of dinghy sailing. Currently racing a Blaze a club level and cruising in own 10m catamaran. Previously raced Buzz, Albacore, Hornet, Laser & GP14 at up to national level.
