Real Life: Retired as a Private Banker from Coutts Bank after 42 years. Hobbies include cruising in my 10 metre yacht, walking and reading. A volunteer in the local Citizens Advice Bureau a couple of days each week.

ISAF/RYA Qualifications: Yachtmaster; Powerboat Level 2; VHF/DSC.
Race Management Experience: 6 years experience with Royal Southampton Yacht Club in various roles on the committee boat and mark laying.
Major Events: Olympic Test Event 2011; Cowes Week x 6 (2006-2010).
Sailing and Racing Experience: Raced in GP14 and Enterprise for several years as both crew and helm and also in various keel boats.
In more recent years, cruised on many yachts, mainly in the Solent and South Coast of England, but also around Sicily, in Turkish waters, and off the West coast of Scotland. I have taken part in the Yachting Monthly Triangle Race on two occasions, and also raced the 1995 Fastnet. I am involved in the organisation of Blind Sailing Week, an event for in the region of 50 'blinkies'.
