Real Life: European Chartered Engineer having founded and built own Consultancy Practice into a medium-size, multi-office business. Now retired, involved in race management and judging (Class Judge for the Optimist Association) as well as racing and cruising my own boats. Vice Captain of Racing Royal Southampton YC.

ISAF/RYA Qualifications: National Judge; CRO+; Yachtmaster Offshore; Power Boat 2; Radar; VHF DSC.
Race Management Experience: 3 years at Club Level, National and International events. Experience includes dinghies, Olympic classes, boards, keelboats and multihulls.
Major Events: Dart World Championship 2010; Olympic Test Event 2011; ISAF Sailing World Cup Event, Sail for Gold 2011; National Events x 4 (2011-2012).
Sailing and Racing Experience: Sailed for 45 years on all types: dinghies, keelboats, catamarans, powerboats and large cruising / racing yachts. Cruised own boats across Biscay and around Mediterranean. 40 Years racing experience in dinghies, keelboats and cruiser /racers up to Open and National level. Currently racing own Laser 28.
