The team is full of talent and led by ISAF International Race Officer, Robert Lamb. Excellence is our aim when it comes to sailing race management to ensure that the sailors, or customers as we prefer to call them, get the very best experience and racing that can be provided.

The team has been built up since its founding members first worked together at the RYA Sail for Gold, Weymouth in 2007. It has a wealth of experience and regularly provides sailing race management for IRC rated and one design keelboats, dinghies and boards. In the past three years members of the team have been involved in 8 World Championships, 4 European Championships, 8 National Championships, 5 ISAF Sailing World Cup Events and of course the Olympic Test Event. Race management has been expertly provided in particular for IRC keelboats, Half Tonners, Quarter Tonners, J80s, SB3s, Dragons, Ynglings, Flying Fifteens, Fireflys, Finns, Cadets, Lasers, Dart 18s and RS:X.
In 2012 SolentXtra, through this process of evolution, is formally born.

The team of 21 race officials and 6 providing safety assistance aims to provide excellent sailing race management for any class with an emphasis on fairness for the competitors who are, after all, the customers.
Sailors today expect a high standard of race management and we aim to give them what they want.
The team has 2 ISAF International Race Officers, 3 RYA National Race Officers, 4 RYA Regional Race Oficers, 4 RYA National Mark Layers, 2 RYA Regional Mark Layers, 1 RYA National Judge and 1 RYA Regional Judge. We can manage sailing racing using as many members of the team as is required to make an event work - this may be an individual or the whole team and anywhere in between.
