Real Life: Corporate Communications Director for global events, exhibitions, information services and publishing business. Spent more than 25 years running internal and external media and stakeholder communications for international companies in the media, telecoms and technology sectors. Career started in the UK civil service, spending time in Geneva and five years at the British Embassy in Washington DC.
Actively support several charities, sit on various committees and like to keep busy.

ISAF/RYA Qualifications: CRO+; VHF/DSC; Powerboat level 2; Club Mark Layer; RYA Yachtmaster theory; Coastal Skipper.
Race Management Experience: Seven years at major events, mainly as timekeeper but also visual signals, sounds and managing finishes, including overseas. Disciplines include dinghies, boards and keelboats. I have experience of Medal Races.
Major Events: World Championships x 2 (RS:X 2009, Laser Masters 2010); Olympic Test Event 2011; ISAF Sailing World Cup Events x 3 (Sail for Gold, 2009-2011); National Championships x 3, 2009-2010 (including Irish Cruiser Racing Association, Ireland 2009); Hamble Winter Series x 6 (2006-2011); Cowes Week 2010.
Sailing and Racing Experience: Started sailing whilst in America and began racing on return to the UK. Completed one leg of the BT Global Challenge (Wellington to Sydney) in 1996/7; the Fastnet in 2001 and 2005; the ARC 2001. I have raced for many years in various regattas and events along the South Coast, Ireland and overseas including Cork Week; Cowes Week; Dartmouth Regatta; Falmouth Regatta; Antigua Sailing Week; St Maarten Regatta. I have delivered yachts around the UK and just enjoy being afloat!
